Deffered Dreams

So, the plan was to attend Michigan State University for 4 dope years and graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. The plan was fully set into motion, or so I thought. Less than a month before classes begin, I learned that I wouldn’t be able to attend MSU because I can’t afford it. Even though I was born and raised in Michigan, I’ve lived in whack Ohio for the past few years, which means I have to pay out-of-state tuition, which is wayyy more expensive. Up until this point, I was under the impression that my financial aid would cover all of the expenses that I couldn’t, but obviously I was mistaken. Sooo, since I can’t afford MSU, I can’t attend MSU. Talk about devastated. I bawled like a baby. But once I pulled myself together and put everything into perspective, I came up with a pretty good “Plan B”. I will attend MSU, but 1st I’ll attend either Wayne State University or Eastern Michigan University. Since I won’t have to pay a gajillion dollars for tuition at either one, I can save my mulah and purchase everything I need to be Miss Independent. And Im thinking about changing my major as well. I think I see optometry in my future…..

I’m not giving up on my Spartan dreams, just deferring them for a while.
